It was midnight and it was storming so bad outside that the outside guards were not able to be outside. Shadow Lady decides that if she is gonna escape now is the time. When the guards allowed her out of her cell for a few minutes of recreation time she was able to overpower them and went out the window. She immediately ran for the high cliffs and jumped into the raging waters below and with the power of the storm the guards were not able to find her or even follow her.

As soon as Shadow Lady hit the icy water she started swimming as hard as she could. She knew that if the guards even thought they saw her they would man the boats to come after her. The guards assumed that because they could not see Shadow Lady that she immediately died upon hitting the water.
When Shadow Lady got to the shore she hid till the storm subsided in a cave she found about 2 miles from where she came out of the water. She sat in the cave shivering from her wet cloths but didn't dare light a fire for fear of getting caught because she didn't know the guards didn't follow her. When the storm ended she stayed in the cave for another 2 nights just to make sure she wouldn't be captured.

When Shadow Lady finally decided to keep moving she left the cave that was her only protection for 2 nights. The sun was so bright to her eyes she had to close them for a few minutes and they gradually got used to the sunshine. Shadow Lady then started walking on the road going East hoping to find a village where she could stay for the night because if she didn't she would have to sleep on the forest floor. She walked for what felt like miles and miles but it didn't bother her it felt good to use her legs, she forgot how easy traveling was for her. At around 3pm she came upon a small village at first she was thinking it was going to be a bad idea to find a place to stay here because she assumed that there would be wanted posters asking for any help to recapture her. When she dared ask a villager where she could find a place to rest for the night she was surprised to find out nobody was looking for her, Shadow Lady then breathed a small sigh of relief, but she also knew she would have to be careful so that nobody would realize who she really was.....

.....when Shadow Lady got to the inn she asked for a room at the far end of the upstairs hallway. Then she sat down to eat a decent meal. After she was done eating she did dishes to pay for her room and meal as agreed upon. When she was done doing the dishes she went upstairs and went to sleep or at least she tried to but she was still worried that someone would recognize her and turn her in or that the prison guards would come looking for her...finally hours later she fell into a deep sleep.....

.....she had a nightmare that night the same nightmare she always had...in this nightmare she is running and running but she can't see who or what she is running from. All she could tell is that whatever or whoever it was is hell bent on catching her. She knew it wasn't the guards she was dreaming about because she had the same nightmare while she was still in prison on Rockfort Island. Just as she was about to scream in her dream she woke up screaming in the small dark room she went to bed in...after the nightmare she couldn't get back to sleep so she decided to continue moving on to get even further away from the guards that she was still sure would be looking for her...

...on her way out of the inn Shadow Lady snuck into the kitchen to get some food and supplies before she headed out....after she did that she hauled ass to put even more distance between her and anyone who would be looking for her..as Shadow Lady passed by the blacksmiths she stop because she saw a few weapons that would help her on her journey so she took them and continued running...Shawdow Lady ran all day and most of the night before she found a small clearing where she could stop for the night she lit a fire and cooked herself some supper she left the fire burning to keep away the wild animals and to keep warm for the night...once again she fell into a troubled and restless sleep....

....when Shadow Lady woke up the next morning she ate a cold breakfast because during the night her fire had gone out and she didn't want to mess with relighting it..when she was done eating she got rid of all signs that she had been there and she started running again. All that day while she was traveling she kept having flashes of horrible things that happend to her she just didn't know if it really happend or not. The worst flash was of her being strapped to a hospital bed and having all sorts of iv's running into her arms and legs a few were in her head and neck. That flash made her feel fearful and scared and she had no understanding as of why it would make her feel that way so she decided right then and there to find out maybe it holds some answers for her about her past and maybe help with her future....
