The FEV is a very potent virus. It can be absorbed through breathing it in, having it splashed on the skin, or by injection.
The FEV, as the name suggests, forces evolution to occur very quickly, mutating the subject in different ways. In a perfect case, the subject becomes much stronger, more physically imposing, faster, and much more intelligent. Though, these occurrences are very rare. The body will mutate in a positive fashion if this rare case is met.
Somewhat more common is when the subject mutates somewhat positively. In these cases, the subject will either grow smarter and lose its strength and speed will becoming some sort of blob with added mutations, the subject will grow very strong and grow as it ages (the age of the subject can be beyond 200yrs, at this time it will be a giant) and lose its brain capacity and speed, or become faster while losing strength and some intelligence(thought these cases are very rare.)
The most common result is death after much disfigurement. The body will grow rapidly and uncontrollably (such as arms becoming very muscular and long without much affect on the other parts of the body.) The brain will decay quickly and the heart may explode, along with other internal organs. Out of the three cases, this is the most painful.
All the cases are very painful, as the transformations are quick and sudden, bringing in insane amounts of pain, which only few can stand. Many have gone insane after being transformed or from watching the process.

One strains creates a very fast species of animal that is much like a raptor, known as a Deathclaw. The FEV can be modified into being a killer virus, killing all subjects with FEV inside their system.
