V-Virus (Vampires virus) was named do to the second generations Vampire like tendencies. The virus destroys there blood cells, and in order to maintain there own life, the second generation infected need to drink the blood of another living organism to restore what the virus destroyed.
The virus is a stable mix of the T-G virus and the Veronica virus, the first generation experiments resulting in Feral Mutations that developed a pack mentality, after first generation mutants from one of the European labs gave birth the second generation was created. The new generation was much more controlled though they needed to feed on the blood of other creatures to sustain their life. The breeding of the two infected also resulted in the second generation containing a more refined form of the virus, there mutations being less a change in there outward appearance and instead increasing there metabolism increasing there physical capabilities to Equate those of Wesker, while they gained strange abilities that very depending on the infected the abilities range from controlling plants to controlling temperature (being able to change the temperature enough in a specific area to form and seemingly control Ice/fire.)
