History:
Dan grew up in a small Georgia town with only two paved roads. He went to school, worked hard, and played sports just like any other respectable Southern boy, that is until the Fall happened.
Mass chaos spread throughout the lands, but Dan's town was left virtually untouched by the medical tests gone bad. They were tucked so far out in rural Georgia that for awhile, they lived without trouble, until strangers began to come in to town. With them, came the virus, and with the virus, came disorder. Soon Dan and his family found themselves boarded up in their house in the backwoods. Finally, one day the supplies ran out..
Dan's father, Roger, decided it was time to do something their situation. He had to keep the family alive and when hunting, fishing, and foraging could no longer do it, they resorted to robbery. Thus, The Hackett Gang was formed. The Hacketts raided caravans and helpless settlements, riding in shooting up the place and stealing what they needed to get by, then riding off. They were accused of several murders and become known throughout the South as wanted outlaws.
The ace shooter of the gang was no other than Dan himself. He had gained a reputation for being quick on the draw and ruthless behind the trigger, leading to his alias "Ruthless Dan." Bounty hunters came and they failed, the news traveled along the South and sent shock waves through small settlements and farmers. The Hacketts were some of the most mean bastards around..
The Untouchable Hacketts crumbled apart as the months turned to years and an act of betrayal caused them to shatter. Dan's own father shot him down after a successful raid, leaving him to die. Since then Dan has been on a blood quest, searching out each member of the Hackett Gang with intentions of making them pay.
Description:
Dan is muscular, has short brown hair and hazel eyes. He's normally seen wearing casual wear with a mix of tactical gear or his weaponry.
It's rare to ever see the boy without his pistol and buck knife, so always be on guard. Even if it looks like he isn't armed, you can bet he's got something up his sleeve.

The front door flew open as two men came sprinting out of it, old lever action rifles in their hands. Dan, however, was ready for them. The trap had been set. He slipped his right hand down and drew the Glock, raising it to the firing position he quickly gunned down the two men in a quick succession of four rounds, two each. The men hit the muddy ground and lay motionless. Dan jogged over, snatched up their guns and tossed them to Bryce.
"That oughta be the last of 'em, dad." Dan said as he kneeled down and looted his fresh kills. There wasn't much of value on them, just some ammunition. The faint glow of the lanterns in the night were becoming harder to see as the rain picked up. Dan pulled his duster on over his clothes and vest.
"Alright boys, let's get goin'!" The Hackett Gang moved over to the truck and jumped in, speeding off throwing up red clay and water as the four wheel drive sped off to their rally point.
Within ten minutes they had reached the rally. Reece and Clint stood by a big rig trailer full of supplies which they had just stolen from the supply depot station just outside of Redwatch, a large survivor settlement in Georgia. "This son uva bitch is plum full of food, water, and livin' supplies. What we don't need we can hawk!" Clint shouted over the rain.
They grabbed crowbars and wrenched open the trailer, staring inside at the massive payload. It was one of the best robberies they had pulled off, with this amount of supplies they could lay low for a few months and let all the heat die down, maybe even move on to another region.
Something was up though.. Everyone was acting weird, as though trying to avoid interaction with him, like he was the odd ball out. Dan spun around to see a pistol pointed at him by no other than his own father. "Woah, dad..! Point that at someone else would yah?" Roger's face remained stone cold, the handgun leveled at Dan's chest.
"What the fuck is this..?" Dan was scared, his own family, the onlly people he'd known since the Fall, the ones he had rode along side and gained infamy with, were now turning on him. He knew how they worked too, Hacketts didn't leave a marked man alive and this time.. Dan was the marked man.
"Sorry Dan, but your becomin' a liability. Not even supplies to go around and your the most hot tempered of the group. You've gotten too much heat on us with all that shootin' and runnin' around with the girls you do."
Dan couldn't believe it.. His own dad was selling him out, you couldn't trust a damn soul in these times, Dan shoulda knew that, but now it was going to cost him his life.
"You goddamn good for nothing son of a bitch!" Dan swooped his right hand down, reaching for the butt of his Glock. A foolish move by a naive and rash youngin'. Three loud cracks echoed out as Dan froze, he looked down to see blood stains appear on his shirt and felt the liquid pour down his chest. He didn't feel anything at first, but then it came, the pain.. Hackett began to fade in and out, darkness closing in. He swayed and then fell over backwards, flat in the mud and rain.
"Leave him, we gotta get out of here."
And with that they were gone, leaving behind one of their own to bleed out in the brutal Georgia thunderstorm.
